Rawabi Holding Awards those completing its first Mini Internship Program

 

Al Khobar – 23 April 2011 As a part of Rawabi Talent Exhibit, held February 26 to March 10 2011 at Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Center for Science & Technology Scitech, Rawabi Holding offered students the opportunity to train in the company’s different departments during a one-week ‘mini internship’ to get a chance to experience jobs first hand, while connecting with experts in careers of their interest.

 

The Rawabi Mini internship program, which was concluded last week, included a one-hour daily training on work ethics, time management, memo writing, and presentation skills. Students were hosted by the following departments: Internal Audit, Logistics & Insurance, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, IT, Legal, and Finance including Treasury and Accounting. Two female interns had the opportunity to train in Rawabi Holding’s first retail franchise, Gymboree Play & Learn, while another intern trained in project management under the supervision of Mr. Ihab Khayyat from Rawabi Holding’s Oilfield Services Division.

 

The Mini Internship was concluded in an event where each intern presented a brief on his/her training, what he/she learned and how the program has contributed to his/her college education.

 

The interns were then invited to attend Rawabi’s Excellence Awards held last Thursday, April 21st to receive their certificates of completing the internship program in front of the entire Rawabi Family.

 

Interns who completed Rawabi’s Mini Internship Program are: Ahmad AlRamadhan, Dana Malas, Fahd Abduljabbar, Hadeel Al Eisa, Haifa Al Owain, Haifa Saleh Al Ghamdi, Hajir Abu Khamsin, Latifa Al Homaid, Lina Al Tamimi, Mohammed Al Dossary, Rama Malas, Saja Al Qahtani, Sara Al Rshoudi, Sara Malas. Tahir Shahaby and Turki Al Ghamdi

 

Mrs. Nada Badgaish, Internal Communications Officer, was assigned to handle the Mini Internship Program offering students the morning training sessions and coordinating with host departments to ensure students got the most out of their training. It was a job well done.
