January 31, 2012 - Rawabi Holding's Group's Chairman, Shaikh Abdulaziz AlTurki, was a keynote speaker at the Winter Enrichment program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) on Monday, January 16,2012. His talk touched upon several important topics with emphasis on Rawabi Holding's Corporate Social Responsibility vision.

 

In his talk on "Business for Sustainable Development", Shaikh Abdulaziz AlTurki stated, "Rawabi Holding strives to be a beacon for others within the country and to use their market share for the betterment of society, ensuring that our economic development does not interfere with our social and environmental advancement." AlTurki continued, "Rawabi is always working toward achieving a transparent framework provided by the corporate governance structure and the adherence to ethical best practices."

 

Shaikh Abdulaziz AlTurki also discussed the importance of how Rawabi Holding has adopted a transparent corporate governance structure, separating ownership from management in order to sustain and maintain their ethical business framework. Diversification and regional expansion, two of Rawabi Holding's main business objectives were also topics of discussion during the lecture with emphasis on how the holding contributes to the economic development and quality of life in the countries that they operate in through these business objectives and daily organizational practices.
