AlTurki Inaugurates Mustaqbali's College Major Discovery Program

Al Khobar – 11 July 2011 The College Major Discovery Program "Mustaqbali" announced the launch of its program at the Qatif Charity Organization last Thursday, June 30th 2011 with the honorary presence of Rawabi Group Chairman, Sh. Abdulaziz Alturki. The Qatif Charitable Organization's President, Mr. Wajih Al-Ramadan and the Organization's Honorary President, Engr. Abbas Al-Shammasi as well as selective guests received Sh. Alturki and took him on a tour.

 

Over 300 students attended the opening night, where the recent developments in the field of medicine and the latest medical specialties suitable for our local job market were highlighted. The event included an exhibition of several Medical Specialties with 20 physicians representing these specialties and introducing students to them. Rawabi Holding was present at the exhibition with a booth representing and introducing Rawabi Talent Exhibition.

 

Sh. AlTurki was impressed by the program and praised the young volunteers who organized it. He was presented with an appreciation trophy under the name of Rawabi Holding for participating in Mustaqbali's programs and printing the career guidance book which includes more than 56 fields of specialty. Over 300 copies of the book were distributed to visitors.

 

Rawabi Holding's participation in this event falls under the company's Youth Empowerment Program, a social cause selected by the Group in an effort to help students on their road to "self discovery". The Rawabi Talent Exhibit, launched in February of 2011 for two weeks was well received and attended by 8700 guests. The exhibit exposed youth to 25 different available careers wherein they were given the opportunity to meet and discuss these careers with professionals in their fields. The Rawabi Talent Exhibit is one of the pillar's of the self discovery program that aims to spread knowledge and motivate students to better plan their future careers.
