As of 2011, the majority of Saudi Arabia’s population is under 30 years old and many of these citizens are uncertain about their future. Youth Empowerment has been identified as a pertinent social issue by Rawabi Holding’s stakeholders and an opportunity for Rawabi Holding to bring about a positive social shift in our nation.

 

Rawabi Holding works to empower youth (aged 16-24) by encouraging them to identify their potential, assisting them in channeling their energies and providing them with the means for a bright and successful future. Under the banner of Youth Empowerment, we are developing initiatives aimed at fostering future leaders, equipping parents with parental training and enabling youth through Self Discovery programs. Below are some examples of the Self Discovery programs:

 

Rawabi Holding Talent Exhibit (RTE)

Sheds light on the nature of various career options available to youth and hosts experts to represent these career choices. The experts describe careers in order to motivate youth and provide insights into their future, and aid them in discovering their hidden potential. read more...

 

THE RAWABI INTERNSHIP INITIATIVE

Is a program that runs for two months. In this initiative, university students develop their skill sets and work ethics, thereby increasing their chances for full-time employment post-graduation. Interns are hosted in different departments under both peer mentors and intern managers. Interns gain training and exposure to the technical skills as well as the soft skills necessary for success in the world of employment. This program is heavily dependent on the spirit of volunteerism within the company and amongst the Rawabi Holding staff.

 

THE RAWABI CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM

Is a high school program that works to determine students’ skills, abilities and potential future careers. The program helps them learn about careers they might like and to which they might be well-suited. The program is run by career guidance advisors who provide a straightforward career planning process for youth. The advisors match students’ unique interests/skills with possible career paths in an effort to demystify the world of jobs and careers for high school students.
